INSTALLING BATTERIES

Your EC-213 is powered by two AAA batteries (not supplied).  We recommend
alkaline batteries (Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-555).

Follow these steps to install the batteries.

1.  Slide off the battery compartment door in the direction of the arrow.

2.  Place two fresh AAA batteries in the compartment, as indicated by the
    polarity symbols (+ and -) marked in the compartment.

3.  Replace the battery compartment door.

4.  Using a straightened paper clip, press RESET on the back of the
    calculator.

    NOTE:  Reset the EC-213 each time you replace the batteries.

If voice announcements sound weak or the display dims, replace the
batteries.
