Jumbo LCD Ultra-Thin Clock (630-0743) Operation Faxback Doc. # 18574 SETTING THE DATE AND TIME Use the MODE and SET buttons on the back of the clock to set the date and time, and to select how the clock displays the date and time. 1. Press SET twice. The month appears on the left of the display. 2. Repeatedly press MODE to set the current month. If you press and hold down MODE, the month continuously advances. 3. Press SET. The date appears on the right of the display. 4. Repeatedly press MODE to set the current date. If you press and hold down MODE, the date continuously advances. 5. Press SET. The hour and A or P appears on the display, and : flashes. NOTE: Your clock uses a 12-hour format. A appears for an AM hour, and P appears for a PM hour. 6. Repeatedly press MODE to set the current hour. If you press and hold down MODE, the hour continuously advances. 7. Press SET. : flashes, and the minute appears on the display. 8. Repeatedly press MODE to set the current minute. If you press and hold down MODE, the minute continuously advances. 9. Press SET. The clock displays the current time. 10. Press MODE. : flashes and the clock starts running. DISPLAYING THE DATE AND TIME The display normally shows the current time (hour and minute). To display the date (month and day) for about 2 seconds, press MODE once. To have the clock alternately display the date and time about every 2 seconds, press SET once. To display the time (hour and minute) again, press MODE twice. DISPLAYING/RESETTING THE SECONDS To display the seconds, press MODE twice while the display shows the time. To display the time again, press MODE again. To reset the seconds to 00, first display the seconds, then press SET. Press MODE once to display the time again. NOTE: You can use a watch with a sweep-second hand or other time reference to set the clock to the exact second. When the time reference reaches the beginning of a minute, display the seconds, then reset the seconds. If the clock displayed more than 30 seconds at the time you pressed SET, the clock advances by 1 minute. MOUNTING THE CLOCK You can use the attached stand on the back of the clock for easy viewing. Simply lift the stand away from the back of the clock and set the clock on a flat surface. To mount the clock directly on the wall, you need two screws (not supplied) with heads that fit into the keyhole slots on the back of the clock. 1. Mark the positions for both screw holes 3 9/16 inches apart. 2. In both marked locations, drill a hole slightly smaller than the screws. CAUTION: Be careful not to drill into any objects behind the wall. 3. Insert the screws into the wall, letting each head extend 1/8 inch from the wall. 4. Align the keyhole slots on the back of the clock with the screw heads in the wall, then carefully push the clock onto the screw heads and slide it down. (JC 12/5/95)
