Jumbo LCD Ultra-Thin Clock (630-0743) Installation Faxback Doc. # 18618 Your Radio Shack Jumbo LCD Ultra-thin Clock combines a simple design with advanced technology. The clock's large digits make it easy to see from across the room. You can mount the clock on a wall or prop it up on its built-in stand. INSTALLING/REPLACING THE BATTERY Your clock uses one AAA battery (not supplied) for power. For the longest life and best performance, we recommend an alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-555. Follow these steps to install or replace the battery. 1. Remove the battery compartment cover by pressing and holding its latch in the direction of the arrow, then lifting the cover. 2. If necessary, remove and discard the old battery. CAUTIONS: Always dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Never leave an old, dead, or weak battery in the clock. Batteries can leak chemicals and corrode or damage electronic circuits. If you do not plan to use your clock for a month or more, remove the battery to protect the clock from possible battery leakage. 3. Insert one fresh AAA battery in the compartment as indicted by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside. 12:00 appears and : flashes on the display. CAUTION: Use only a fresh battery of the required size and type. 4. Replace the cover. If the clock does not operate properly, replace the battery. (JC 12/4/95)
