Your Radio Shack LCD Directory Chronograph Alarm Watch is an example of 
superior design and craftsmanship.  The following suggestions will help you
care for the watch so you can enjoy it for years. 

    Keep the watch dry.  If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. 

    Use and store the watch only in normal temperature environments. 

    Handle the watch gently and carefully.  Don't drop it. 

    Keep the watch away from dust and dirt. 

    Wipe the watch with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new. 
    Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to 
    clean the watch. 

Modifying or tampering with the watch's internal components can cause a 
malfunction and might invalidate its warranty.  If your watch is not 
performing properly, take it to your local Radio Shack store for
assistance. 

REPLACING THE BATTERY 

Your watch requires a 3V lithium CR2016 battery.  We recommend Radio Shack 
Cat. No. 23-160. 

If the watch slows or the display dims, follow these steps to replace the 
battery. 

NOTE:  The watch resets to 12:00 AM and all stored information is erased 
       when you change the battery. 

1.  Use a small screwdriver to remove the six small screws on the back of 
    the watch. 

    NOTE:  The screws are extremely small and can be easily misplaced.  Be
           sure to note where you place them. 

2.  Remove the watch's back. 

3.  Loosen the screw on the battery holder. 

4.  Lift the battery holder out of the way, remove the old battery, and 
    install a new one with the positive side up. 

    CAUTION:  Use only a fresh battery of the recommended size and type. 
              Always remove an old or weak battery. 

    WARNING:  Immediately discard the old battery.  Never allow children to
              play with the battery.  Swallowing a battery could be fatal.

5.  Replace the battery holder and secure it with the screw. 

6.  Secure the watch's back with the small screws. 

RESETTING THE WATCH 

If the watch display is blank or the watch does not appear to work 
properly after installing a new battery, remove the battery, wait 
3 seconds and reinstall it.
