EC-379 Pocket Data Organizer (650-0876) Resetting the Organizer Faxback Doc. # 19934 RESETTING THE DISPLAY If the display locks up, follow these steps to reset it. NOTE: Resetting the display does not affect information stored in memory. 1. Use a straightened paper clip to press the RESET hole at the back of your organizer. RESET ? appears on the display. 2. Press any key twice, except ENTER. The display returns to normal with the current date and time. CAUTION: Pressing ENTER twice clears all stored information from the memory. RESETTING THE SECRET MEMORY If you forget the password, follow these steps to reset the organizer and clear the records stored in the secret memory. CAUTION: Resetting the secret memory clears all information stored in secret memory, the key tone setting, current date and time, and daily alarm, but does not affect phone directory, schedule, memo or to-do information stored outside the secret area. 1. Use a straightened paper clip to press the RESET hole at the back of your organizer. RESET ? appears on the display. 2. Press any key once, except ENTER. RESET SECRET ? appears on the display. 3. Press ENTER. RESET ... appears for about 5 seconds. All the data stored in the organizer's secret memory (directory records, schedule alarms, memo records and to-do information) is cleared. You must re- enter the key tone setting, current date and time, and daily alarm. RESETTING ALL MEMORY If you want to clear all the records in the organizer, follow these steps to completely reset the organizer. CAUTION: Resetting all memory clears all information stored in the organizer. 1. Use a straightened paper clip to press the RESET hole at the back of your organizer. RESET ? appears on the display. 2. Press ENTER. RESET ... appears for about 5 seconds. All the data stored in the organizer's memory (including records and alarms in the secret data area) is cleared.
