Although the calculator uses solar power most of the time, the back-up
battery might eventually weaken and require replacement.  If the display
speed slows down in a dark room, replace the battery with a Radio Shack
389A button cell battery.  We recommend Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-117.

1.  Remove the two screws on the back cover, using a small Phillips
    screwdriver.

2.  Insert a small, flat-blade screwdriver between the case halves.  Twist
    the screwdriver slightly to separate the front and back cases.

3.  Remove the old battery.  Dispose of it promptly and properly.

    Warning:  Do not allow children to play with batteries.  Swallowing
              a button-cell battery can be fatal.

4.  Install the new battery with the positive (+) side up.

5.  Snap the case halves back together.

6.  Replace the cover and secure it with the screws.
