Thermometer Clock

SETTING THE TIME DISPLAY

1.  If necessary, press MODE to change to the time display.

2.  Press and hold SET until the current time and day flash on the
    display.

    Note:  If you do not set the time within about 30 seconds, the display
           returns to the previous time/day/date setting.

3.  With the time flashing on the display, repeatedly press (or press
    and hold) HOUR to set the correct hour.

4.  Repeatedly press (or press and hold) MIN to set the correct minutes.

5.  Repeatedly press (or press and hold) DATE to set the correct day.

6.  To finish setting the time and day, press SET.  The calendar flashes
    on the display.

7.  With the date flashing on the display, repeatedly press (or press and
    hold) HOUR to set the correct month.

8.  Repeatedly press (or press and hold) MIN to set the correct date.

9.  Repeatedly press (or press and hold) DATE to set the correct year.

    Note:  The clock has settings for the years 00-99.

10. Press SET to return to the normal time display.

CHANGING TO THE CALENDAR DISPLAY

With the time showing on the display, press HOUR.  The display shows the
year in the upper left corner, the time in the upper right corner, and the
day/date at the bottom.

SELECTING THE 12-/24-HOUR FORMAT

To select the format, select the calendar or time display.  Then press
MIN. A or P appears next to the time for the 12-hour format and
disappears for the 24-hour format.

SETTING THE ALARM TIME

1.  Press MODE until AL appears in the upper left corner and the current
    time and alarm settings show on the display.

2.  Press and hold SET until the current alarm time flashes on the
    display.

3.  Repeatedly press (or press and hold) HOUR to set the correct alarm
    hour.

4.  Repeatedly press (or press and hold) MIN to set the correct minutes.

5.  Press SET to set the alarm time.

6.  Press MODE to return to the normal time display.

    Note:  If the clock is set to the 12-hour format, A appears on the
           display for an AM alarm time and P appears for a PM alarm time.

TURNING ON/OFF THE ALARM

1.  Press MODE until AL appears in the upper left corner and the current
    time and alarm settings show on the display.

2.  Press HOUR to turn on the alarm.  .))) shows on the display when the
    alarm is on.  Press HOUR so .))) disappears from the display to turn
    off the alarm.

3.  Press MODE to return to the normal time display.

When the alarm is on, it sounds at the set alarm time.  The clock
announces the time and temperature and then beeps for about 20 seconds.
Press the talking button to stop the alarm.

TURNING ON/OFF THE HOURLY CHIME

1.  Press MODE until AL appears in the upper left corner and the current
    time and alarm setting show on the display.

2.  Press MIN to turn on the hourly chime.  BELL SYMBOL appears on the
    display.  Press MIN so BELL SYMBOL disappears from the display to turn
    off the hourly chime.

    Note:  The clock does not sound the hourly chime from one o'clock to
           six o'clock in the morning so as not to disturb your sleep.

3.  Press MODE to return to the normal time display.

SETTING THE SCALE

To read the temperature in either Fahrenheit (F) or Celsius (C), press
MODE until the current temperature shows on the display.  Then press MIN
to change the temperature display to the Fahrenheit or Celsius scale.

HEARING THE CURRENT TIME, TEMPERATURE, ALARM TIME

To hear the current time and temperature, press MODE until the display
shows the current time, day, and date.  Then press the talking button.
The clock announces the current time and the current temperature.

To hear the alarm time, press MODE until the alarm time, AL, and the
current time appear on the display.  Then press the talking button.  The
clock announces the preset alarm time.
