Travel Alarm Card Clock (630-0722) Operation Faxback Doc. # 3437 SETTING THE TIME 1. Open the clock cover. 2. Move the slide switch to TIME. 3. Repeatedly press H until the correct hour appears on the display. Or, press and hold H to rapidly advance the hours. 4. Repeatedly press M until the correct minute appears on the display. Or, press and hold M to rapidly advance the minutes. 5. Move the slide switch to OFF. Notes: The clock uses a 12-hour format and displays A for AM and P for PM. The hour does not advance when you move the minutes from 59 to 00. SETTING AND USING THE ALARM 1. Move the slide switch to ALM. The display shows the alarm time. Symbol appears in the upper left corner of the display, and AL appears in the lower right corner of the display. 2. Repeatedly press H until the correct hour appears on the display. Or, press and hold H to rapidly advance the hours. 3. Repeatedly press M until the correct minute appears on the display. Or, press and hold M to rapidly advance the minutes. 4. Move the slide switch to ON to activate the alarm. AL disappears and the clock displays the current time and SYMBOL. At the set alarm time, the alarm sounds for about 1 minute. Note: If you want the alarm to sound longer than one minute, set the alarm time minutes to an odd number (for example, 8:01). This causes the alarm to sound for two minutes. 5. To turn off the alarm, move the slide switch to OFF. SYMBOL disappears from the display. To check/review the alarm time, move the slide switch to ALM. USING SNOOZE To silence the alarm for 7 minutes, press SNOOZE once. After 7 minutes, the alarm sounds again. Press SNOOZE again to silence the alarm for 8 minutes. When the alarm sounds, you can press SNOOZE again to have alarm sound after another 8 minutes. Repeat this procedure for as long as you like. To stop the snooze/alarm cycle, move the slide switch to OFF. POSITIONING YOUR CLOCK Slide the clock panel out and tilt it forward until it meets the inside edge of the case. Then place the clock on any flat surface. REPLACING THE BATTERY When the display dims, replace the clock's battery with a new LR1130 button cell battery. We recommend Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-117. 1. Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding it in the direction of the arrow. 2. Remove the old battery. 3. Insert a new battery with the positive (+) side facing up as indicated outside the compartment. Note: After you insert a new battery, the display might show random figures. Reset the clock (see "Setting the Time"). Warning: Immediately discard the old battery. Never allow young children to play with batteries. Swallowing a battery can be fatal. (br/all-12/05/94)
