The Radio Shack EC-4040 Programmable Scientific Calculator is one of the
most complete and compact calculators available.  It is designed to help
you solve problems in anything from basic math to trigonometry,
statistics, logarithms, and binary/octal/hexadecimal conversions.  It
uses simplified formula input logic to determine which arithmetic
operations are performed first.

Its features include:

    79-Step Formula Memory - Lets you store a formula in memory that you
                             use frequently and run it any time with just
                             a few keystrokes.

         Alphabetic Prompt - Lets you input data elements of formula
                             variables.

        Engineering Symbol - Let you calculate with unit symbols for kilo,
        Notation             Mega, Giga, milli, micro, etc.

Paired-Variable Statistics - Include both standard deviation calculations
                             and linear regression analysis calculations.

         Fraction Function - Lets you input fractions without having to
                             convert them to decimal values.

     Nine-Memory Registers - Hold information for later use, even after
                             you have turned off the calculator.  The
                             calculator also has another 'answer memory'
                             so you can use one calculation result as a
                             part of next calculation formula.

           Base N Function - Let you perform logical math and conversions
                             between bases 2, 8, 10, and 16.

  Simplified Formula Input - Lets you input formulas exactly as they are
  Logic                      written (normally referred to as "True
                             Algebraic Logic").

   16-Character Dot-Matrix - Shows the formula you enter as well as the

           Replay Function - Lets you recall the last formula you executed
                             on the display for corrections or other
                             editing.
