Use this mode to store names, phone numbers, addresses and Fun Face
portraits.  Each entry can contain up to 380 characters.

TO ENTER THE TELEPHONE DIRECTORY MODE

Highlight TELEPHONE SYMBOL on the Main Menu, then press EXE.

This is an example of a completed entry in the Telephone Directory mode

NOTE:  You can change the display to show only text data (without the
       portrait) by pressing EXE.  Press EXE again to change back to the
       portrait display.

ABOUT THE FUN FACE MAKER

The Fun Face Maker lets you combine facial features to create portraits.
Each feature is numbered for easy identification.

TO INPUT TELEPHONE DIRECTORY DATA

Example

To input the following data:

    JACKSON ERIC
    123-4567
    570 Tandy Avenue
    Seattle, WA 90904
    Portrait:

1.  Enter the Telephone Directory Mode.

2.  Input the name.

    J A C K S O N  SPACE  E R I C  EXE

3.  Input the telephone number.

    1 2 3-4 5 6 7  EXE

4.  Input the address.

    If you input more than four lines, the display will scroll upwards.
    The indicator /\ on the display indicates more text above.

5.  Use < or > "Yes" (to make a portrait) or "No" (to skip the portrait),
    then press EXE.

    In this example we will select "Yes."

    This display asks if you want to use the portrait shown as a base.

6.  Use /\ or \/ to view different portraits.  When the one you want is
    shown, press EXE.

7.  Use /\ or \/ to choose the facial feature you want to change.

    Each press of /\ or \/ Changes the selected facial feature in the
    following sequence.

    Hair <--> Bangs <--> Eyebrows <--> Eyes <--> Nose <--> Mouth

    <-->  Beard <-->  Mustache <-->  Glasses <-->  Outline <-->

8.  When the feature you want is displayed, use < or > to change it.

9.  Repeat Steps 7 and 8 for all features you want to change then press
    EXE.

    Telephone Directory data is automatically sorted into alphabetical
    order according to the names.

Inputting Your Profile Data

You can also use the Telephone Directory Mode to input and store
information about yourself.  Then you can use Magic Beam (See Faxback
Doc. # 31614) to send your profile data to your friends.

To Input Your Profile Data

1.  Enter the Telephone Directory Mode.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "Your Profile," then press EXE.

4.  Input your name, telephone number, and other data.

5.  Press EXE to store the data.
