Your clock uses one AA battery (not supplied) for power.  For the longest
life, we recommend an alkaline battery (such as Radio Shack Cat. No.
230-0552).

Follow these steps to install the battery:

1. Place your thumb on the dent on the bottom of the clock and push the
   cover out to open the battery compartment.

2. Insert the battery as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ or -) shown
   inside the compartment.

3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

When the clock slows down or the alarm gets faint, replace the battery.

CAUTIONS:

   Never leave an old or weak battery in the clock.  Even "leak-proof"
   batteries can leak damaging chemicals.

   Always use a fresh battery of the required size and type.
