REPLACING THE BATTERIES

Your EC-4045 is powered by two RS389A-type button cell batteries (Cat. No.
23-117).  When the display dims, follow these steps to replace the
batteries.

1.  Use a small Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screw from the battery
    cover on the back of the calculator.

2.  Remove both batteries and dispose of them promptly and properly.

WARNING:  Never allow children to play with the batteries.

3.  Insert two new batteries with the positive (+) side facing up.

4.  Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.
