EC-355 Personal Directory (650-0864) Operation Faxback Doc. # 32158 VIEWING AND SETTING THE DATE AND TIME 1. Press TIME so that the current date and time appear. 2. Press and hold down 12/24 for about two seconds to change the clock format to a 12 hour or 24 hour format. (In the 12 hour format, an A or P appear in the lower left corner of the display.) 3. Press SET to change the date or time. The date's first digit flashes. 4. Enter the date. If you selected the 12 hour format, enter the month first. If on the 24 hour format, enter the day of the month. 5. Enter the hour and minutes. 6. In the 12 hour format, press A or P to set the clock to AM or PM. 7. Repeatedly press DAY to set the day of the week. 8. When the correct date and time are displayed, press SET to store the date and time. To simply view the date and time, press TIME. EDITING A DIRECTORY/MEMO RECORD NOTE: If you did not enter information in the second part of a record when you created it, you cannot edit that information. Also, you cannot enter more characters in either part of a record than you originally entered. For example, if you originally entered a seven digit phone number, you cannot edit the record to include the area code. To change one of these records, you must delete the record and re-enter it. Follow these steps to edit a directory/memo record. 1. Recall the record you want to edit a directory/memo record. 2. Press EDIT. The first character flashes. 3. Press > or < to move the cursor to the character you want to change. 4. To replace a character, simply enter the correct character. To delete the character, press ERASE; the remaining characters shift to the left. 5. Press Memo/Store to store the first part of the record. The first number flashes. 6. If necessary, repeat Steps 3 and 4 to edit the second part of the record. 7. Press Memo/Store. The display shows the corrected record. DELETING A DIRECTORY Folow these steps to delete a directory/memo record. 1. Recall the record you want to delete. 2. Press and hold down ERASE for about 5 seconds. WAIT briefly appears on the display. Then NO FILE appears to show that the record is deleted. (IR/ir-09/25/96)
