REPLACING THE BATTERY

if the display dims or the calculation speed slows down, replace the
battery with one CR2025 button cell battery, such as Radio Shack Cat.
No. 23-161.

Follow these steps to replace the battery.

1.  Separate the calculator from its case.

2.  Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on the back
    cover.

3.  Insert the screwdriver into the hole to the right of the screw holes
    to lift off the back cover.

4.  Remove the old battery.

5.  Install a new battery with the positive (+) side up.

6.  Replace the back cover and secure it with the screws.

CAUTIONS:  Dispose of the old battery promptly. Do not allow children to
           play with the battery.  Swallowing a battery can be fatal.

           Do not dispose of the battery in a fire because it can expose.

NOTE:  After replacing the battery, you must store any tax/tip rates,
       alarms, and the current time again.
