To Enter the Schedule Mode 1. Press MODE to enter the Schedule Mode (CLOCK SYMBOL). To Input Schedule Data Example: PARTY July 17 1. Enter the Schedule Mode. The unit automatically changes to the alpha input mode at this time. If there is no data stored in the Schedule mode for that date, the message "SCHEDULE?" appears on the display. If there is already data stored in the Schedule Mode for that date, that data appears on the display. 2. Use /\ or \/ to display the date for which you want to input data. In this example, display July 17. Holding down /\ or \/ changes the date at high speed. 3. Input the description. P A R T Y You can input up to 20 characters for the description. Only 10 characters can fit on the display at one time, so the screen automatically scrolls after you input the 10th character. 4. Press EXE to store the data, and the "SCHEDULE?" message appears again asking for the next appointment. Schedule data is stored in order according to the dates. If you have more than one appointment scheduled on the same date, they appear in the order they were input. You can abort the date input operation (without inputting any thing) by pressing MODE at any time before you press EXE in step 4. Recalling Schedule Data You can recall Schedule data using sequential search. To Recall Data Using Sequential Search 1. Enter the Schedule Mode. 2. Use /\ or \/ to scroll through the list of appointments. * Holding down /\ or \/ scrolls at high speed. 3. After you recall the data you want, you can use < or > to scroll it left or right if it runs off the display. Editing Schedule Data Use the steps described here to edit your Schedule data. To Edit Schedule Data 1. Enter the Schedule Mode. 2. Use sequential search to recall the data you want to edit. 3. Press EDIT. 4. Use < or > to move the cursor to the description characters you want to change. 5. Change the characters using the operations described under "Inputting Data", above. 6. After you make the changes you want, press EXE to store the edited data. Deleting Data The following procedures can be used to delete Telephone Directory or Schedule data items. To Delete an Item 1. Enter the mode that contains the data you want to delete. 2. Use sequential search to recall the data. 3. While the data you want to delete is displayed, press EDIT and then CLEAR. 4. Press EXE to delete the data item. * If you change your mind, you can cancel the delete operation by pressing any key besides EXE. ALARM MODE You can set daily alarm to sound at a preset time each day. To Enter the Alarm Mode Press MODE to enter the Alarm Mode (BELL SYMBOL). ALARM 12:00 This is the current alarm setting. To Set the Daily Alarm Example: To set an alarm time of 13:00 (1:00 PM). 1. Enter the Alarm Mode. 2. Press EDIT. 3. Input the alarm time. 1 3 0 0 Each time you input a digit, the cursor moves to select the next digit to the right. 4. Press EXE to set the time you input. When you press EXE, the daily alarm automatically switches on. "ON" appears on the display. If you input any invalid values (like 25 for the hour, or 62 for the minutes), the input is not saved and the unit returns to step 3. To Switch the Daily Alarm On and Off. 1. Enter the Alarm Mode. 2. Press ALARM SYMBOL (X) to switch the daily alarm on or off. At the set alarm time, the alarm continues to sound for 30 seconds, or until you press any key. (EB 4/3/96)
