How Memory Capacity is calculated

You can store up to 1,949 bytes of data in memory.  There is no limit on
the amount of memory you can use in each mode, but the limit on the total
amount of data stored is 1,949 bytes.  The following shows how many bytes
the data in each mode takes up.  One character requires one byte of memory.

    Mode                              Bytes Per Data Item

Telephone Directory                   (name) + (telephone number) + 6

Schedule                              (description) + 11

Examples:

  * Telephone Directory data only

    When all items use 6 characters for the name and 12 characters for the
    phone number, you can store approximately 80 items.

  * Schedule data only

    When all items use 20 characters, you can store approximately 60 items.

SORT SEQUENCE

The following table shows the sequence used for sorting data in the
Telephone Directory Mode.

Error Messages

Message                  Meaning                Action

CHECK TIME         Always appears when          Confirm that the current

FULL!              Memory is full.              Reduce number of
