REMOVING THE BATTERY INSULATION SLIP

Your EC-369 comes with a battery insulation slip, designed to preserve
battery power.  Before you use the EC-369, you must remove this slip.

1.  Press the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow, then
    lift it up to remove it.

2.  Grasp the slip and gently pull it out.

    NOTE:  If one or both batteries fall out while you are removing the
           insulation slip, be sure to put them back in correctly
           (see "Replacing the Batteries" on Faxback Doc. # 32673).

3.  Replace the cover.

OPENING/CLOSING THE COVER

The EC-369's keys and display are protected by a cover to avoid damage or
unwanted input.  To open the cover, press the tab on the side of the EC-369
and lift the cover.

To close the cover, simply press it down until it locks into place.
