Blue Seas Digital Clock with Alarm (630-0732) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 33302 REMOVING THE PACKING SLIP The clock uses one 357A (Cat. No. 23-115) button-cell battery (supplied). Before you set the time, you must remove the protective packing slip under the clock's battery inside the battery compartment. Follow these steps to remove the packing slip. 1. Use a coin or paper clip to turn the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow. Then remove the cover. 2. Remove the battery from the battery compartment. 3. Grasp the packing slip between your thumb and forefinger, then gently pull it up to remove it. 4. Replace the battery with the positive side (+) facing up. 5. Replace the cover. VIEWING THE DIGITAL DISPLAY After you remove the packing slip under the battery and replace the battery compartment cover, the clock's digital display shows 1=00, with the = flashing. The display reflects up from the bottom of the black base so it appears to be suspended at the back of the clock. You can view the boat floating on the ocean inside the clock on any of the clock's sides, but you can only view the digital display on one of the wide sides. To view the digital display, position the clock lower than your eyes so you view one of the wide sides at about a 30-degree angle. If you do not see the digital display, turn the clock 180 degrees and try again. CAUTION: Do not vigorously shake the clock. The liquid inside the clock might foam and make the digital display difficult to see. (ALL-06/06/96)
