Your Radio Shack Blue Seas Digital Clock with Alarm is a example of
superior design and craftsmanship.  The following suggestions will help you
care for your clock so you can enjoy it for years.

    Keep the clock dry.  If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.  Liquids
    can contain minerals that can corrode electronic circuits.

    Use and store the clock only in normal temperature environments, and
    keep it out of direct sunlight.  Temperature extremes can shorten the
    life of electronic devices, damage batteries, and distort or melt
    plastic parts.

    Handle the clock carefully.  Dropping it can damage circuit boards and
    cases, and can cause the clock to work improperly.

    Keep the clock away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature wear
    of parts.

    Wipe the clock with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
    do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to
    clean it.

    Use only a fresh battery of the required size and type.  Always remove
    an old or weak battery.  It can leak damaging chemicals.

Modifying or tampering with the clock's internal components can cause a
malfunction and might invalidate its warranty.  If your clock is not
performing as it should, take it to your local Radio Shack store for
assistance.

REPLACING THE BATTERY

When the clock's display dims, follow these steps to replace the battery
with a 357A button-cell battery (Cat. No. 23-115).

1.  Use a coin or paper clip to turn the battery compartment cover in the
    direction of the arrow, then remove the cover.

2.  Remove and discard the old battery.

    WARNING:  Do not allow children to play with the old battery.  it can
              be harmful or fatal if swallowed.

    CAUTION:  Always dispose of the old battery promptly and properly.  do
              not bury or burn it.

3.  Insert the fresh battery in the compartment with the positive side (+)
    facing up.

    CAUTION:  Use only a fresh battery of the required size and type.

4.  Replace the cover.

NOTES:  Never leave a dead, old, or weak battery in the clock.  Batteries
        can leak chemicals and corrode or damage electronic circuits.

        If you do not plan to use the clock for a month or more, remove the
        battery to protect the clock from possible battery leakage.

        If the clock does not work properly, remove and reinstall the
        battery.  If the clock still does not work properly, replace the
        battery.

ABOUT YOUR CLOCK

The liquid in your clock is a compound of refined aliphatic hydrocarbons
(the clear liquid near the top of the clock) and food-grade blue dye (the
blue, dense liquid near the bottom of the clock).

WARNING:  KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.  FLAMMABLE LIQUID.  USE ONLY AS
          DIRECTED.  INTENTIONAL MISUSE BY INHALING, INGESTING, OR EATING
          THE CONTENTS CAN BE HARMFUL OR CAUSE DEATH.

CAUTION:  Do not open the clock's case or remove the liquid.  Keep away
          from heat, sparks, or open flame.  For Medical Emergencies, call

FIRST AID

EYES

    Flush with clear water for 15 minutes.  Call physician if irritation
    persists.

SKIN

    Wash with soap and water.  If irritation persists, get immediate
    medical attention.

INHALATION

    Move to fresh air.  Call physician immediately.

INGESTION

    SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.  Do not induce vomiting.
