Key Functions

[FIX]  Decimal Place Selector
Use this key to set the number of decimal places within a range of 0 to 7.

[RND]  Rounding
Press this key to make the number of decimal places used for calculation
matches the displayed number of decimal places.

[X<->Y]  
Press this key to switch the currently displayed value with the last
displayed value.

[X<->M]
Press this key to switch the currently displayed value with the value
stored in memory.

[RAN#] Random Number Generator
Press this key to digitally produce a random number.  Random numbers can
be used in sample survey.  (0< random number <1)

[1/x] Reciprocal Number
Press this key to produce the reciprocal of the displayed value.

[SYMBOL] Square Root
Press this key to calculate the square root of the displayed value.

[X^2] Square
Press this key to square the displayed value.

[ ( ], [ ) ] Parentheses
Use these keys to input parentheses.

[X^y] Power
Use this key when you want to raise the displayed value to a specific power

[10^x] Power of 10
Use this key to raise 10 to the power of the displayed value.

[a] Integer Input
Use this key to input the integer part of a fraction.  You can input up to
four digits for the integer.

Example:

  To input the fraction 1-1/2.
     1[a]1[b/c]2

[b/c] Numerator Input
Use this key to input the numerator of a fraction.  You can input up to
four digits for the numerator and the denominator of a fraction.

Example:

  To input the fraction 1/2.

     1 [b/c] 2

[F<->D] Fraction <-> Decimal
Press this key to change a fraction value into a decimal value, or to
change a decimal value into a fraction value.

[ a b/c ] Mixed Fraction <->
[<->d/c] Improper Fraction
Press this key to change a mixed fraction into an improper fraction, or to
change an improper fraction into a mixed fraction.

[SIMP] Fraction Simplification
Press this key to simplify a displayed fraction.

[%] Percent
You can use this key to calculate money you save, and to perform any other
type of percent calculation.

[->]  Right Shift
Press this key to shift the displayed value to the Right, deleting the far
right value.

[MC] Memory Clear
Clears independent memory.

[MR] Memory Recall
When you press this key, the number stored in memory appears on the display

[M-] Memory Minus
When you press this key, the number on the display is subtracted from
memory.  You can also press the [M-] key in place of [=].  When you do, the
calculation is performed and the result is subtracted from memory
automatically.

[M+] Memory Plus
When you press this key, the number on the display is added to memory.  You
can also press the [M+] key in place of [=].  When you do, the calculation
is performed and the result is added to memory automatically.

[/R] Division With Remainder
Press this key when you want to perform a division operation and display a
whole number remainder (rather than decimal).

[C] Clear
Press this key to clear a value that you have just input.

[On] 
[AC]  All Clear/Power On
Press this key to clear the calculator before starting a new calculation.

Pressing this key also switches the calculator on.

[PI SYMBOL]
Press this key to input the approximate value of PI.  The value used
internally is 3.1415926536.

[+/-] Sign Change
The [+/-] key lets you switch the sign of a value between positive (+) and
negative (-).

[=] Result
Press this key to display the result of a calculation.
