Then, only you can access your records. Entering A Security Code To keep your data secure, enter a security code as follows-- 1. Press [TEL]. 2. Press [SECRET]. 3. Enter your four-digit security code. NOTE: You must use only numbers in your security code. You cannot enter letters or other symbols. 4. Press [ENTER]. S appears at the lower left of the display, indicating that your records are protected. Searching Your Secret Data 1. Press [SEARCH]. SECRET is displayed. 2. Enter your four-digit security code. 3. Press [ENTER]. SECRET disappears. You can now search your records as described in "Sequential Search" or "Initial-Character Search." NOTE: If you enter an incorrect code, SECRET reappears. When you have finished searching the data, press [TEL], [CAL], or [OFF] to exit the search mode. The next time you press [SEARCH], the word SECRET reappears. You must then enter your security code to search your data. Changing Your Security Code To change your security code: 1. Press [TEL]. 2. Press [SECRET]. 3. Enter the old security code. 4. Press [ENTER]. The old security code is now erased. If you do not want to enter the new security code, stop here. If you do want to enter a new code: 5. Press [TEL]. 6. Press [SECRET]. 7. Enter your new four-digit security code. 8. Press [ENTER]. Your new security code is now entered. (IR-07/24/96)
