USING THE SECRET AREA

The directory lets you enter information in a secret area.  To see the
items in the secret area, you must enter the correct password.

SETTING UP A PASSWORD

This directory organizer does not have a password when you first begin
using it.  Follow these steps to set up a password:

1.  Press ON/OFF to turn on the directory.

2.  Press either TEL, MEMO, or SCHEDULE.

3.  Press the (Key Symbol).  The directory displays CODE:

4.  Enter the password you want to use (up to four letters, numbers,
    symbols, or any combination).

    NOTE:  Be sure you use a password that you can remember.  If you
           forget the password, you cannot use the secret area without
           completely resetting your directory and clearing all the
           information you have entered.  If you do forget your password,
           you can copy all of the information that is not in the secret
           area to another EC-327.

5.  Press SAVE.  The key symbol should appear on display to show that you
    are using the secret area, and the directory displays the normal
    display for the selected mode.

  6. Press the (Key Symbol) to exit the secret area.
