1.  Q. How to reset the fire alarm zone?

    A. Press CANCEL to silence the alarm.  Then open main panel of the
       alarm.  Wait about 10 seconds for the system to reset.

2.  A.  You may use Grade-A service on the panel.

3.  A.  If armed and violated, the system will reset in five minutes even
        if it is still violated.  The zone which was (or is) violated will
        have a flashing indicator.  The panel will sound entry delay like
        normal, so you will want to notice the flashing zone LED at the
        keypad.  CANCEL must be pressed in order to clear the display, but
        note that they display will not clear if the zone is still
        violated.


The 490-0485 Alarm system WILL WORK without a battery.  When it's keypad
flashes its LED, it's data link is working.  

The Automatic Phone Dialer (Cat. No. 490-0433) will work with this alarm
system.  The dialer should be attached to either the Burglar Dialer
Terminals (terminals 32/33) or the Fire Dialer Terminals (terminals
30/31).  These dialer terminals are normally open circuits and should use the N. O. terminals on the dialer.


Q:  Can the Dicon Model 330S (490-0481), the 8-Zone Alarm System
    (490-0485), and the 4-Zone Alarm System (490-0475) smoke detectors be
    all set off together?

A:  The above-mentioned smoke detectors cannot all be set off together.
    However, a 3.6 kHz Piezo Buzzer (273-0060) can be connected to the
    fire siren output at each smoke detector location.  (The ground from
    the smoke detector can be used for a five-wire install.)
