8-Zone Alarm System (490-0485) Arm System Faxback Doc. # 14897 ARM SYSTEM The user must enter his user code, master code, or ambush code to arm the system. 1) Enter user code. a) If error in code, sound beeps 8 times (250ms). b) After 3rd error, lock-out system control for 5 minutes. c) If HOME key is pressed within 10 seconds of code entry, arm HOME mode. 1) HOME LED on. 2) 2 beeps. d) If CANCEL key is pressed within 10 seconds. 1) HOME and AWAY LEDs off. 2) Enter disarmed state. e) Otherwise, arm AWAY mode. 1) AWAY LED on. 2) 2 beeps. 2) In no zone faults, a) All active zone LEDs are on, b) Bypassed zone LEDs are off, c) ARMED LED on steady, d) System arms. e) Sound 1 beep (1 second) 3) If any zone faults, faulted zone LED(s) flash, a) Other active zone LEDs on steady, b) Bypassed zone LEDs are off, c) Armed LED flashes, d) Beeper sounds 8 beeps e) Unit remains disarmed state. 4) If any zone has a delay defined, a) DELAY LED flashes b) LED for delayed zone(s) flashes. c) Beep (500ms on/off), pre-alarm is on. d) Other active zone LEDs on steady, e) Bypassed zone LEDs are off, f) ARMED LED flashes g) When time-out occurs, if no faults in delayed zones, 1) DELAY LED goes off. 2) Beeper off, pre-alarm off 3) LEDs for delayed zone(s) go on steadily, 4) ARMED LED on steady, 5) System arms. h) When time-out occurs, if delay zone(s) are faulted, 1) ARMED LED flashes, 2) Alarm sounds, 3) System locks in alarmed state, and will only respond to user code for RESET or ambush. NOTE: The LOOP LED goes out when the system is armed.
