Bright light can damage the camera. Refer to the following for the best mounting method for the selected location, and follow these steps to mount the camera. 1. Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the positions for the mounting holes. 2. Select screws that are appropriate for the mounting surface. (The supplied screws are appropriate either for wood surfaces or for use with the supplied dry wall anchors.) Then use a 3/32 - inch drill bit to drill the mounting holes. 3. Use the screws and anchors if needed, to secure the mounting bracket to the desired location. 4. Secure the camera to the mounting bracket with the two supplied knobs. CONNECTING THE CAMERA You can connect the camera to a dedicated TV or VCR's antenna jack and tune to Channel 3 or 4 to view the camera's signal. Or, you can connect the camera to a TV, VCR, or monitor's audio/video input jacks. Using the audio/video jacks generally provides a better signal. Connecting the Camera to a Dedicated TV or VCR's Antenna Jack Route an RG-59 or RG-6 antenna cable (not supplied) from the camera to the TV or VCR. To prevent interference, do not route the cable next to any power, antenna or telephone lines. NOTES: Radio Shack stores sell cables in several lengths with connectors on each end and by the foot without connectors, as well as easily- installed connectors. Select a cable that is appropriate for your installation. If there is an AC outlet near the camera, plug the supplied power adapter's barrel plug into the DC 12V 200mA jack on the camera. Otherwise, plug the barrel plug into the jack on the side of the supplied power injector as shown on Page 5. Connecting the Camera to a Dedicated TV, VCR, or Monitor's A/V Input Jacks Route Shielded A/V cables from the camera to the VCR or TV. To prevent interference, do not route the cable next to any power, antenna or telephone lines.
