Plug 'n Power Security (610-2611) Operation Faxback Doc. # 16047 System BASE RECEIVER INDICATORS The base receiver displays the status of the first eight zones. These indicators can display four states, as follows: Steady on - means that particular door or window is open. Steady off - means that particular door or window is closed. Slow Flashing - means that particular door/window sensor is reporting a problem. Fast Flashing - means that a particular door/window sensor reported a problem (or a door/window is open) and the fault has been overridden by pressing [ACCEPT]. All door/window sensors report to the base receiver about every 90 minutes. If the base receiver does not receive a signal from the sensor within 4 hours, it reports a problem with that sensor by slowly flashing the appropriate zone indicator. If you try to arm the system while a zone indicator is flashing, the base receiver sounds a two-tone trouble alarm. Either press [DISARM], correct the problem, and press [ARM] again, or press [ACCEPT] while the trouble alarm is sounding, then press [ARM]. The zone(s) with a problem do not arm and the zone indicator(s) flash rapidly. All other zones arm. To see the status of zones 9-16 If there is a problem with a zone between 9 -16 you do not see a flashing zone indicator but you hear the trouble alarm if you try to arm the system. Press and hold [ACCEPT]. This accepts the problem and allows you to see which zone is reporting the problem. If you do not want to accept the problem, correct the problem then arm the system again. ARMING AND DISARMING THE SYSTEM When you arm the system in the RUN 1 or RUN 2 modes, and open a door or window, the following happens: A loud siren (100 dB at 1 foot) sounds for 4 minutes. Lights connected to lamp and wall switch modules (set to the same house code as the base receiver) flash on and off. When armed, RUN 1 and RUN 2 modes are the same, opening a door or window trips the alarm. However, when you open a door or window in the RUN 2 mode and the system is not armed, the base receiver sounds a pleasant chime. In the RUN 1 mode these chimes are disabled. Also, be sure to close the door/window after you set up the system. If you leave the door/window open the base receiver's zone indicator turns off when you install the remote control. Instant Mode 1. Set the DELAY switch on the remote control to MIN. 2. Press [ARM]. The base receiver sounds two tones and the ARMED indicator turns on. Open a door or window. The alarm instantly trips, the siren sounds, and lights connected to lamp modules and wall switch modules (set to the same house code as the base receiver) flash on and off. 3. Press [DISARM] to stop the siren. The lights remain on. 4. Press [LIGHT OFF] on the remote control to turn off lights connected to modules which you set to the same house code and unit code as the base receiver. Delay Mode 1. Set the DELAY switch on the remote control to MAX. 2. Press [ARM] on the remote control. Lamps connected to modules set to the same house code and unit code as the base receiver turn on. The base receiver chimes for approximately 1 minute while you leave the house. You then hear a beep signifying that the system is armed, and the lamp(s) turn off. Open a door (that has its sensor set to MAX). A pre-alarm beep sounds from the base receiver and lamps connected to modules set to the same house code and unit code as the base receiver turn on. After a delay of approximately 30 seconds the alarm sounds and lamps connected to lamp modules and wall switch modules (set to the same house code as the base receiver) flash on and off. 3. Press [DISARM] to stop the siren. The lights remain on. 4. Press [LIGHT OFF] on the remote control to turn off lights connected to modules (set to the same house code and unit code as the base receiver.) NOTE: If you open a window the alarm trips instantly even though it is armed for delayed alarm. When you disarm the system after an intrusion (or 4 minutes after the alarm trips) the siren turns off and the lights which were flashing remain on steadily (to let you know there has been an intrusion). NOTE: In both instant and delay modes, after pressing [DISARM] you must wait at least 3 seconds before pressing [ARM] again. If you do not wait at least 3 seconds and press [ARM], the system arms regardless of the status of the door/window sensors. SOUNDING THE PANIC ALARM If you press any two adjacent keys on the remote control (at the same time) you instantly trip the alarm, even if the system is not armed. TURNING LIGHTS ON AND OFF REMOTELY Press [LIGHT ON] or [LIGHT OFF] on the remote control to turn on or off lights connected to plug 'n power modules which you set to the same house and unit code as the base receiver. If you want independent control of several modules which you set to different unit codes, you can purchase the 61-2676T transmitter. This controls up to 16 plug n' power modules by transmitting signals to the supervised security system's base receiver. The base receiver then transmits the signals to other plug 'n power modules over your house wiring. You can even dim and brighten lights! NOTE: If you already own the 61-2675 or the 61-2676 wireless transmitter and receiver, you will no longer require the 61-2675/76 receiver. The security system's base receiver (61-2611R) performs the same function. If you have the both receivers plugged in at the same time they interfere with each other and you cannot control lights and appliances from the 61-2675T or 61-2676T remote control. You should unplug the 61-2675/76 receiver. Also, if you add another base receiver to your security system you must set both base receivers to the same house code and unit code. Otherwise they both transmit different codes at the same time and garble each other's transmissions. There are also other types of controllers available. You could, for example, add a timer to turn on lights and appliances while you are away to give your home a lived-in look. See "This is plug 'n power" for details of other types of plug 'n power accessories available.
