The Radio Shack 180 degrees Passive Infrared Motion Sensor is designed for
use with security alarm systems, such as those sold by Radio Shack. 
Passive Means that the sensor's lens responds to heat within its coverage
area.  When an intruder enters a protected area, the sensor detects the
temperature change and triggers the system's alarm.  You can use the motion
sensor to help protect any area of your home while you are at home or away.
