Infrared Alarm System (490-0330) Operation Faxback Doc. # 17265 ARMING AND DISARMING To arm the system, enter your 4 digit security code. The system beeps when you enter the fourth digit. It then enters the 30-second exit delay. ARMED flashes every 5 seconds during the exit delay and when the system is armed. When you enter the protected area with the system armed, it sounds a long beep. To disarm the system, enter your 4 digit security code. The alarm beeps twice when you enter the correct code. If you do not enter the correct security code within 30 seconds of entering the protected area, the alarm sounds. If you enter an incorrect code, the alarm sounds four beeps. If the alarm is sounding, press * to clear the error, then enter the correct code. NOTE: If your security code does not arm or disarm the system, try the default code ( 1 2 3 4 ). If the system still does not arm or disarm, remove and reinstall the batteries. This resets the security code to 1 2 3 4. If the system is armed the alarm will sound when you remove it from the wall.
