A lightning strike near, or directly to, the power line may cause an excessive surge of voltage that can damage the Entry Alert. If you live in an Area that has frequent or severe electrical storms, we suggest that you purchase a surge protector to help prevent damage to your Entry Alert as a result of power line surges. Your local Radio Shack store has a wide selection of surge protectors. (CS 10/23/95)
