Your Radio Shack Passive Infrared Burglar Alarm helps protect you and your
home or office. The alarm's sensor detects an intruder and the built-in
alarm sounds to alert you. You can also connect an additional sounding
device, an auto-dialer, and a remote switch to the alarm's terminals for
more protection and convenience. The alarm's features include:

        Easy Installation - lets you set up your alarm system quickly and
                            easily.

Battery Backup Capability - powers the alarm in case of an AC power
                            failure.

 Alarm Testing Capability - helps you test the coverage of the protected
                            area without sounding the alarm.

               Exit Delay - gives you 20 seconds after you set the alarm to
                            leave the protected area before the alarm turns
                            on.

              Entry Delay - lets you set the alarm to sound after a 15
                            second entry delay or to sound instantly.

      Automatic Resetting - automatically resets after sounding for 5
                            minutes so it can detect another intrusion.

No alarm system can prevent an intruder from entering your home. Alarm 
systems are designed to deter intruders and give a warning if one does
enter the protected area.

This passive infrared burglar alarm is for indoor use only.

HOW THE SENSOR WORKS

The alarm's infrared motion sensor responds to rapid changes in
temperature.  When a person or animal enters a detection zone, the sensor
detects the change in temperature and sounds the alarm. It detects an
intruder's motion in 9 zones (6 upper and 3 lower).
