Remote Control Wall Switch (610-2683A) Installation Faxback Doc. # 19290 Turns indoor or outdoor overhead light ON and OFF, and DIMs or BRIGHTENs with the microprocessor command center. Override feature lets you turn lamp on and off directly, without using the control center. Simply push large center button. MAXIMUM RATINGS 500 watts 120V 60 Hz CAUTION: For incandescent lights only. Do not use to control fluorescent light fixtures, wall outlets or appliances. NOTE: Power slide switch in "left" position turns fixture off for bulb replacement. Leave in center position for normal operation. CODES 1. Match house code letter on red dial with dial setting on control center. If more than one control center is used, each should have a different code letter to avoid interference with each other. 2. Black dial assigns desired key number on the control center to this switch location. If, for example, you want key number 1 to command this switch, set dial to 1. More than one switch can be assigned to the same key number. This would allow one key to control an entire room. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Use a small screwdriver to set the red Housecode dial on the Wall Switch Module to the same letter as you set on the Controller. Set the black Unit Code dial to a number between 1 and 16. 2. STOP!!! TURN OFF THE POWER AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE 3. Remove existing wall switch plate, unscrew the old switch from the wall box, and disconnect the wires from it. 4. Connect the wires on the Wall Switch Module (black and blue) to the same two wires that went to the old switch using the wire nuts provided. Make sure that the connections are tight and that there are no bare "whiskers" of wire which can touch the wall box. Note: Use electrical tape to cover bare wire ends if necessary. 5. Screw the Wall Switch Module back into the wall box. Move the power ON/OFF slide switch to the ON position (in center). Re-fit the cover plate. Note: Move the slide switch to the left (OFF) when changing a light bulb. 6. Repeat steps above for any other wall switches you want to control. (CS 1/10/96)
