SETTING UP THE WIRELESS MOTION DETECTOR

1.  Set the security system's Base Receiver/Console to INSTALL.

2.  Install a 9V alkaline battery in battery compartment (on front of the
    motion detector).

    NOTE:  If the Base Receiver/Console chimes, skip steps 3 and 4.

3.  Press the CODE button (on the back) with the point of a pencil.

4.  Press the TEST button (on the back).  The Base Receiver/Console chimes
    and the next available zone indicator turns on.

    NOTE:  If you don't hear a chime, repeat steps 3 and 4.

USING THE WIRELESS MOTION DETECTOR

Set switch on left to (1) to trip alarm if ANY movement is detected (most
sensitive).

Set switch on left to (2) to trip alarm only if two movements detected or
continuous movement detected within a short time (less sensitive to pets 
etc. in this position).

*  Using Motion Detector (Cat. No. 610-2614) with the Base Receiver (Cat. 
   No. 610-2611R) or the Control Console (Cat. No. 610-2610).

    Set switch on right (looking at back) to NORMAL and switch on left to
    (1) or (2) as above to include this motion detector when arming the
    system.  Set switch on left to OFF when you don't want it to be armed
    (when you're at home for example).

*   Using Motion Detector (Cat. No. 610-2614) with the Wireless 8-Zone
    Security Console Receiver (Cat. No. 610-2609R).

    Set switch on right (looking at back) to Home/Away position.  In this
    position you can use the Extra Remote Control (Cat. No. 610-2561T CMC)
    to arm the system in the Away mode (which arms Door/Window Sensors AND
    this motion detector) or in the Home mode (which arms Door/Window
    Sensors but does not arm this motion detector).  Set switch on the left
    to (1) or (2) as above.

TESTING THE WIRELESS MOTION DETECTOR

Place Motion Detector within 100 feet from Base Receiver/Console.  Then,
without arming the system, walk past the Motion Detector.  The Console
chimes.  Wait about 20 seconds before repeating a walk test, (the Motion
Detector has a 20 second lock-out to conserve battery power).  Arm system,
walk past Motion Detector: alarm trips.  Press [DISARM] on Remote Control.
To help prevent false alarms: Do not place Motion Detector near a heating
or air conditioning vent, or in direct sunlight.  For more information,
refer to owner's manual included with your Security System or Console.
