DUAL-ELEMENT INFRARED MOTION SENSOR (490-0531) Features Faxback Doc. # 33462 Detects intruder's body heat and motion. For use with an alarm system that has a normally closed security loop. Small enough to be placed almost anywhere. Dual-element circuit assures maximum sensitivity without annoying false alarms. Five-zone pattern covers rooms up to 20 x 35 feet. Requires 12VDC at 24mA supplied by an alarm panel. Multipurpose bracket allows corner or angle mounting. Your Safehouse Infrared Motion Sensor is a passive motion detector designed to be used with a central alarm system, such as Radio Shack's 49-450 or 49-470. When it is used with a multi-zone system (such as 49-470), you can bypass the motion sensor when someone is at home, while leaving other sensors activated, thus preventing false alarms. The sensor is triggered by changes in infrared heat waves. When an intruder enters the area covered by this sensor, the alarm is tripped. A built-in tamper switch also sets off the alarm if an unauthorized person tries to open the case. Features Dual-element detector - extends the zones of coverage while reducing the likelihood of false alarms for better protection than is possible with a single-element sensor Walk-test LED - Gives you a visual indication of the area covered by the sensor. Complete mounting hardware included - Lets you quickly and easily install the sensor as part of your complete alarm system. Tamper switch - Prevents unauthorized access to the sensor by triggering the alarm panel to sound an alarm if tampering is detected at any time. DESCRIPTION (See Faxback Doc. # 33469, Fig. "A") 1.
