Terminal location (Under side of Monitor Unit): Wire terminals S+ / S- to Additional Speaker Wire terminals D+ / D- to Door Release Wire terminals L+ / L- to Camera Unit 2. Mounting Height: Standard installation height of monitor: .... 130 cm to base of camera 145 cm to center of monitor screen 3. Wall mounting: Directions: Run wires through the wall and mounting bracket, ensuring center of mounting screen "x" is at the desired height. 4. Desk top use: Turn monitoring unit over and install the 2 rubber feet on the bottom at the front of the unit. Install the table stand in the notches at the back of the unit. Turn the monitor unit over and set on desk top at desired location. INSTALLATION OF CAMERA 1. Terminal Location camera unit: Wire terminals B+ / B- to External Bell Wire terminals L+ / L- to the Monitor Unit 2. If external bell is used, switch OFF the INT. BELL switch on back of camera. 3. If internal bell is used, adjust the volume with the VOLUME & CHIME preset using a small screwdriver. Mounting on the wall The standard installation height of the camera is 140 cm to the base and 150 cm to the center of the camera lens. In case the camera is installed in an area where the background of a photographic object is brighter and the object does not receive light from its front side, the object is displayed darker on the video screen and is not monitored correctly. If this occurs, provide additional measures of lighting from the front side of the photographic object. WIRING PROCEDURE NOTE: Do not reverse wire polarity, otherwise, the monitor unit will not turn on. See Faxback Doc. # 34181, Fig. A Wires Used: .............. 0.65mm DIA or thicker (2-core parallel wire) or Coaxial cables 3C2V Maximum length of cable should not exceed 300 ft. Standard Wiring Distance Wiring Length Between Camera 50m and Monitor Unit Between Monitor 50m and Additional Speaker Replacing the System with Existing Intercom or Doorchime (see Faxback Doc. # 34181,Fig. B) Use the dotted line as it is, and insert the plugged cord of the video intercom into the wall outlet. IMPORTANT: Remove unnecessary wiring which may remain between the video doorphone and the camera, as otherwise the reproduced voice and picture may be disturbed. (i.e. keep the wiring runs as short and direct as possible). The installation position should be determined considering the viewing area of the unit camera. (LB/EB 07/25/96)
