Video DoorPhone System (490-2600) Operation Faxback Doc. # 34179 When there is a visitor 1. The call push button is pressed by the visitor. Visitor hears chime at the camera unit. 2. Call chime sounds at the monitor unit. A monitor picture of the visitor appears on the monitor unit. If the handset is not picked up, the monitor picture will go off after about 30 seconds. 3. Press handsfree button and communicate with the visitor. The monitor will be automatically turned off and communication will be cut off after about three minutes. If further communication is required, press the handsfree push button, and the system will operate for another three minutes. Be careful not to press the handsfree push button by mistake while conversation is going on, as otherwise the monitor picture will go off and no further communication becomes possible. 4. Take the handset & communicate with the visitor. 5. To activate the electric door release, press the Door Release button. If it is desired to view the area outside your front door through the video monitor Press the monitor button on the Video DoorPhone The picture of the area outside your front door where the camera unit is installed will be displayed on the monitor screen. The monitor picture will automatically go off after about 30 seconds. When the handset is picked up while monitoring, you can hear sounds around the front door. The monitor picture will go off instantaneously when the monitor button is pressed again. NOTE: Indoor sound will not be heard at outside (Camera unit).
