Connecting the Remote Keypad Follow these steps to connect the remote keypad to the control panel: 1. Connect a separate wire to each terminal on the remote keypad's back. For easiest installation, use a different color wire for each terminal. 2. Connect the remote keypad's + terminal wire to Terminal 39. 3. Connect the remote keypad's DATA 1 terminal wire to Terminal 40. 4. Connect the remote keypad's DATA 2 terminal wire to Terminal 41. 5. Be sure the remote keypad's address switches (Switches 1 and 2) are set to OFF. 6. If you want the remote keypad to sound a tone each time you press a button, set Switch 3 to ON. 7. If you want the remote keypad to sound a tone during the entry delay and to sound an arming confirmation beep, set Switch 4 to ON. Otherwise, set it to OFF. To connect additional remote keypad, use the same procedure. However, set each additional remote keypad's address switches as described in its owner's manual. (PN/ir-04/02/96)
