Disarm the System. 2. At the console, be sure the BATTERY indicator is off. 3. Remove the screw that secures the power adapter to the AC outlet, and unplug the adapter. OR Turn off the main breaker or remove the fuse that supplies power to the AC outlet you have plugged the power adapter into. 4. At the console, be sure the BATTERY indicator is on. 5. Press TEST on the console. The TEST indicator lights. 6. Violate each sensor in every zone except the panic zone one at a time. Each time you violate a sensor, the sensor's zone indicator flashes and the console sounds a tone if the sensor is functioning properly. 7. If any sensor is not functioning properly, repair or replace the sensor for full protection. BEFORE YOU PERFORM THE NEXT TESTS, NOTIFY NEIGHBORS AND THE PROPER AUTHORITIES. THESE TESTS WILL MAKE THE SYSTEM'S SIREN SOUND. 8. If you have installed a security dialer, disconnect it from the system. 9. Press each panic switch. The burglar alarm sounds. Disarm the system to silence the alarm. 10. Reconnect the security dialer. 11. Press and hold down TEST. After about 2 seconds, the burglar alarm sounds for 1 second. Then, the fire alarm sounds for 1 second. The system alternates between the two alarms while you hold down TEST. 12. If either siren does not sound, check the wiring and fuses for the sirens (BURGLAR fuse for the burglar alarm and, FIRE fuse for the fire alarm). Correct the problem for full protection. 13. After you complete all tests, reconnect the power adapter. 14. Press TEST so that the TEST indicator is off to return to normal operation. (SMC/jlc-02/22/94)
