Digital Alarm Clock (277-0107) Operation Faxback Doc. # 18013 When power is initially applied, both real time and alarm time will be at 12:00:00. To activate the clock, simultaneously depress the "Hours Set" pushbutton switch, S4, and the "Ten Minutes Set" pushbutton, S5. The units minute digit can be advanced at a 2Hz rate by again depressing both the "Hours Set" and "Ten Minutes Set" pushbuttons. The tens minute digit will advance at a 2 Hz rate when only the "Ten Minutes Set" pushbutton is depressed; similarly, the hours digit will be advanced by depressing only the "Hours Set" pushbutton. The carry from one digit to the next does occur, so setting should be performed from the minutes digits to the hours digits. When the "Time Selector" switch is in the Alarm Set mode, the alarm is displayed and may also be advanced using the time set procedure. In the Real Time mode the real time is displayed and may also be advanced using the same procedure. To accurately set the time to the nearest second, place the "Time Selector" switch in the Count Inhibit mode; this will halt the counting of the clock. After setting the time ahead, the clock should then be returned to the Real Time mode at the proper time in order to re-start the clock. If a "brown out" occurs, the AM/PM indicator will flash at a 1 Hz rate to signify an incorrect display time. This low power indication continues until proper power is restored and the clock is reset. The "Alarm Enable" switch enables the "wake up" alarm. When alarm occurs it may be disabled and immediately reenabled and will activate 24 hours later at the alarm time. The "Snooze" feature will temporarily turn off an activated alarm signal to allow an additional 10 minutes sleep. Momentarily depressing the "Snooze" pushbutton will activate the snooze. The intensity of the digital displays is controlled automatically by the photocell according to ambient lighting conditions. (TK/all-11/28/95)
