If you followed the instructions in this manual but have trouble operating
your Model 19, locate the problem in the SYMPTOM column below.  Then,
check the POSSIBLE CAUSE column to find the problem and correction.  If
you still have trouble operating your Model 19, contact your Radio Shack
store for assistance.

            SYMPTOM                                  POSSIBLE CAUSE

No power.                                     Power cord is not connected.

                                              POWER is not set to ON.

                                              DC power cord is connected
                                              when you want to use AC
                                              power.

Noise in picture on playback.                 Tracking control needs
                                              adjustment. See "Tracking
                                              Control."

                                              Video head is dirty.  Head
                                              cleaning is necessary.

Operation buttons do not work when            Dew protection system is
power is on and cassette is inserted.         activated.  Wait until d

Certain TV programs cannot be seen.           Connections are not
                                              correctly made.  Check all
                                              connections.

No operation by remote control.               The remote control's
