Your local Radio Shack store has a wide selection of earphones to choose from. Plug the earphone's 1/8-inch plug into the TV/monitor's EARPHONE jack. When you connect an earphone, the TV/monitor's internal speaker is automatically disconnected. HEARING COMFORT AND YOUR HEALTH To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines when you use earphones. Always start by setting the lowest volume level possible first, put the earphone or headphones on, then gradually increase the volume as necessary. Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. Extended high-volume listening can lead to permanent hearing loss. Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so a volume level that does not cause discomfort might still damage your hearing.
