Setting the Timer

1.   Turn on the VCR and the TV connected to it.

2.   Set the TV to the same channel as the channel switch on the back of
     the VCR.

3.   Press TV/VCR on the remote so VCR appears on the display.

4.   Press PROGRAM.  The timer program # flashes on the TV and/or on the
     VCR's display.  Press PROGRAM until you reach the desired memory
     location (1-6).

5.   Press up or down to select the day of the week.  For a day more than
     a week ahead, press up or down until the display shows two or three
     of the desired days of the week.  For a weekly recording, press up or
     down until W and the desired day of the week is displayed.  For a
     weekday recording, press up or down until the TV screen displays
     (M-F).

6.   Press ENTER.  The start time hour digits flash.  Press up or down
     until the desired start time is indicated.

7.   Press ENTER.  The  start time minute digits flash.  Press up or down
     until the desired minute is selected.

8.   Press ENTER.  Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to set the end time.

9.   Press ENTER.  The channel number digits flash.  Press up and down
     until the desired channel is indicated.

10.  Press ENTER.  The Tape Speed Indicator flashes.  Press up or down
     until the desired tape speed is indicated.

11.  Press ENTER.

12.  Insert a tape to be recorded on.

13.  Press INPUT SELECT for the desired input mode.

14.. Press POWER to turn the VCR off.  It is now in the Stand-by mode.
