SETTING THE CLOCK

The clock uses a 12-hour format.  Use the remote control to set the clock.

1.  Press MENU to display the on-screen menu.

2.  Within 10 seconds, press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select TIMER.

3.  Press ENTER.  The TIMER screen appears and DATE is indicated.

4.  Press VOLUME </> to select the month option.

5.  Repeatedly press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the month.  The day of week
    for that date is automatically set.

6.  Press VOLUME </> to select the date option.

7.  Repeatedly press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the date.  The day of week
    is automatically set.

8.  Press VOLUME </> to select the year option.

9.  Repeatedly press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the year.  The day of week is
    automatically set.

10. Press VOLUME </> to select the hour option.

11. Repeatedly press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the hour.

12. Press VOLUME </> to select the minute option.

13. Repeatedly press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the minute.

14. Press ENTER twice to store the selected settings.

SETTING THE OFF TIMER

You can use the OFF TIMER to automatically turn off your TV at a preset
time.

Note:  The OFF TIMER functions only when the clock is set correctly.

4.  Press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select OFF.

5.  Press VOLUME </> to select the hour option.

6.  Repeatedly press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the hour.

7.  Press VOLUME </> to select the minute option.

8.  Press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the minute.

9.  Press VOLUME </> to select the RUN/HOLD option.

10. Press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select RUN or HOLD.

    *  RUN turns the TV off at the set time.
    *  HOLD does not turn the TV off at the set time.

11. Press ENTER twice to store the selected settings.

SETTING THE ON TIMER

You can use the ON TIMER to automatically turn on your TV at a preset
time and to a particular channel.

1.  Press MENU on the remote control to display the on-screen menu.

2.  Within 10 seconds, press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select TIMER.

3.  Press ENTER.  The TIMER screen appears.

4.  Press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select ON.

5.  Press VOLUME </> to select the hour option.

6.  Repeatedly press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the hour.

7.  Press VOLUME </> to select the minute option.

8.  Press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the minute.

9.  Press VOLUME </> to select the channel number option.

10. Repeatedly press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select the desired channel.

11. Press VOLUME </> to select the RUN/HOLD option.

12. Press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select RUN or HOLD.

    *  RUN turns the TV on at the set time.
    *  HOLD does not turn the TV on at the set time.

13. Press ENTER twice to store the selected settings.

USING AUTO OFF

This function automatically turns off your TV after 10 minutes when there
are no broadcasts.  If the VCR is operating, AUTO OFF does not function.

1.  In the TIMER mode, press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select AUTO OFF.

2.  Press VOLUME </> TO SELECT HOLD/RUN option.

3.  Press CHANNEL /\ \/ to select HOLD or RUN.

    *  If you select RUN, AUTO OFF continues to function when there are
       no broadcasts.

    *  If you select HOLD, AUTO OFF does not function when there are no
       broadcasts.

4.  Press ENTER twice to store the selected setting.

SETTING THE SLEEP TIMER

The sleep timer automatically turns off the television after a selected
time period ---, 180, 120, 90, 60, 30, 20 or 10 minutes.

To set the sleep timer, repeatedly press SLEEP until the desired time
period appears on the screen.

In a few seconds, the screen automatically clears and the timer counts
down from the selected number of minutes.

NOTES:  To view the remaining sleep time, press SLEEP once.

        To cancel the sleep timer, repeatedly press SLEEP until the display
        shows SLEEP ---.
