Model 801 (160-0655) Setting the Clock Faxback Doc. # 31375 Set the clock accurately for proper automatic timer recording. Use the remote control to set the clock. 1. Press POWER to turn on the VCR. 2. Turn on your TV and set it to the same channel as the VCR's CH4/CH3 switch, or select the TV's video mode if you connected your VCR to A/V inputs. NOTE: If you are not using the TV's A/V input, be sure VCR appears on the display. If it does not, press TV/VCR on the remote control unit/VCR appears. 3. Press PROG. The MENU display appears on the TV screen. 4. Press 1 to select the CLOCK SET menu. 5. Enter the correct hour and minutes with the number buttons. You must precede a single-digit entry with 0. (Press 0 5 4 0 to set 5:40, for example.) NOTE: If you enter a wrong number, press CLEAR as many times as necessary to backspace to the wrong entry and enter the correct digit. 6. Press 1 to select AM or press 2 to select PM. 7. Enter today's date with the number buttons. (To enter June 1, 1993, press 0 6 0 1 9 3.) If you enter the correct year, the correct day of the week appears on the TV screen. 8. Press PROG twice to store the information and return to the normal screen. NOTES: When you set the clock, the display shows '?' if you enter an invalid date (February 30, for example). If you do not enter anything for over 55 seconds, the display returns to the normal screen. (SP/br 3/19/96)
