Home Satellite TV Antenna (160-2508) Horizon-To-Horizon Mount Faxback Doc. # 31423 To install the Horizon-To-Horizon Mount, you need: * The Horizon-to-Horizon Mount (System Box #2) * The Satellite Cable (System Box #3) * Plastic Pipe (System Box #3) * A Furniture Pad or Blanket 1. After the cement has set for a minimum of 48 hours, remove the top nuts and washers from the three threaded rods. Then, lift off the post and lay it on a furniture pad or other padded surface. 2. Remove the mount from System Box #2. WARNING: Take care to protect your fingers as you lift the mount out of the box. 3. Loosen the mount's sleeve bolts so they do not extend inside the sleeve. 4. Position the mount near the top end of the post with the mount's sleeve in line with the post. 5. Remove the satellite cable from System Box #3 and locate the end of the cable that has the rubber boots over the coaxial connectors. 6. To make cable routing easier and protect the individual wires and connectors, use plastic tape to wrap together the two F-connectors and the red, white, and black wires. Do not tape the cable section that contains the orange, green, brown, and blue wires. 7. Pull 15-20 feet of cable through one of the supplied pieces of black plastic pipe located in the cable box. 8. From the post's bottom end, route the cable through the post, the mount's sleeve, and the large hole in the "elevation plate." 9. At this point, route the cable section that contains the orange, green, brown, and blue wires to the right side of the mount (toward the motor mounting cylinder). 10. Route the taped sections of the cable through the cylinder that leads to the round hub plate. Pull about 8 feet of cable out of this cylinder. 11. Slide the mount's sleeve fully onto the top of the post (being careful not to damage the cable inside) and tighten the sleeve bolts. 12. Caution: We recommend two people for this procedure. Carefully lift the post/mount assembly back onto the foundation's threaded rods and reinstall the large washers and nuts. 13. Using your carpenter's level to check and correct the leveling of the post as necessary. Then, securely tighten the nuts. (CS 3/18/96)
