Your Radio Shack Model 28 9-Inch Color TV/VCR combines a versatile color
TV/monitor and a VCR in one space-saving cabinet.  The supplied AC and DC
power cords let you enjoy it almost anywhere - in your home, office, car,
RV, van, or boat.  The Model 28 receives TV programs and plays video tapes.
It also records video tapes from on-the-air TV programs.

Please read this owner's manual carefully.  It has been prepared to assist
you with initial setup procedures and to guide you in the Model 28's
everyday operation.

  Bilingual On-Screen Menu - displays helpful instructions on the TV screen 
                             in English or Spanish for setting the clock and 
                             the automatic timer.

    181-Channel Capability - offers a broad range of viewing choices and a
        Digital PLL, Tuner   clear, sharp picture.

  Tuner Memory Programming - automatically stores all the active channels in 
                             your area into memory.

            Remote Control - provides remote access to most of the tape
                             motion and TV controls.

             Two-Way Power - lets you power the Model 28 with standard AC 
                             power or your vehicle's battery (with the 
                             supplied car-battery power cord).

     Dew Protection System - protects the Model 28 by preventing VCR 
                             operation in humid conditions.

  1-Year, 8-Event, Digital - lets you program the Model 28 to make up to
                     Timer   seven unattended weekly, daily, or normal 
                             recordings within 1-year period, plus one today
                             only timer recording.

     Today Timer Recording - lets you easily record one program within the 
                             next 24 hours.

 One-Touch Timer Recording - starts recording immediately and stops 
                             recording automatically after the selected 
                             length of time.

         Game Mode Setting - automatically sets the Model 28 to the best 
                             setting for viewing video games.

        Automatic Tracking - adjusts the tracking automatically for each 
                             tape you play.

Automatic Playback/Rewind/ - makes playback easy by automatically playing,
                     Eject   rewinding, and ejecting a video cassette tape.

               Sleep Timer - sets the Model 28 to play for a time period you 
                             select, then automatically turns off.

               Auto Repeat - lets you set the Model 28 to automatically 
                             repeat a tape when it reaches the end of the 
                             tape or recording.

               Rental Play - improves playback picture quality of worn tapes 
                             especially rental tapes.

Dual-Speed Forward/Reverse - helps you easily find a selection on the tape.

              Freeze-Frame - lets you temporarily stop the action and view a

 Digital Tape Counter with - lets you select and return to a point on the
                    Memory   tape; makes it easy to begin play at the 
                             beginning of a selection.

       Earphone Connection - lets you listen to programs without disturbing 
                             others.

   Front Panel Audio/Video - gives you convenience of easily connecting the
               Input Jacks   camcorder or video game.

NOTE:  Your Model 28's remote control requires two AA batteries (not
       included) for operation.
